New Orleans Karate Institute (New Orleans Karate Club Belle Chasse) is the premier family martial arts training center in the New Orleans metropolitan area. Founded in 1999 by Burton and Nancy Maben, our school has helped thousands of students learn self-defense, build confidence, achieve goals, and contribute back to the community through dozens of on-going leadership projects and partnerships with local schools, churches, and service organizations.
Our school offers age-appropriate programs for children starting as young as three. In addition, we have an award winning traditional martial arts program for adults and teens, as well as, kick-boxing and mixed martial arts programs for adults.
